The Architectural Designer will autonomously interpret sketches and site surveys, converting into drawings and detailed documentation needed for tenders/quotes, permit applications and final construction documents.
Responsibilities
Identify Project Scope and client requirements
Create preliminary drawings and present drawing to Designer for review and approval
Apply knowledge of client culture, client requirements
Produce perspective/layout design drawings
Apply space plan, furniture schedule and materials to be used
Issue drawing for detailing/estimating and project proposal presentation
Prepare and issue final drawing for client’s approval and Council submittal
Prepare and issue final M&E drawing for contractors
Apply knowledge of BCA and relevant standards
Apply design engineered concepts and solutions
Assist Designer in preparing drawings and modeling needed for client proposal presentation
Prepare job, project updates and attend weekly meetings to provide job/project updates via Skype
File and organize drawing files in prescribed format and naming convention
Review and propose process improvements that will promote work accuracy and efficiency
Ensure Team environment is clean and of good housekeeping
Understand and comply with OS&H guidelines and maintain safe work practices
Report safety incidents and potential/risk safety hazards
Understand and comply with all aspect of the Company Policies and Procedures
Documentation of project updates and reporting
Clear and concise in respectful and professional manner
Qualifications
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Design or related course
Must have five (5) years work experience in commercial design and construct company
Must have a demonstrable autonomous workstyle
Must be proficient in the use of AutoCAD and 3D Modeling tools including Sketchup
Knowledge of the BCA and Disability Access.
Has flawless command of the English language both written and oral with a knack for sentence structure and grammar
Works diligently to understand the target audience and understands the value of research and competitive set awareness
Understands the importance of deadlines and plans accordingly to meet them
The person must have high attention to detail, excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines, and must have interest in and aptitude of learning how to use new software / technologies
Must be a team player comfortable in a collaborative environment and always eager to share and refine ideas
Receptive to constructive feedback and understands that revision is an essential part of the creative process
Willing to work in Bonifacio Global City, Morning and Mid shift
