Bank Reconciliation Accountant

The role will be in a shared service environment and is expected to work effectively with the larger Property Accounting function in Manila. This role primarily involves of Bank Reconciliation including but not limited to tenant receipts and vendor payment.

Responsibilities

The tasks and responsibilities for the role include:

  • Monthly Bank Reconciliation
  • Daily bank statement management
  • Resolve exceptions transactions; skip trace, cash mapping discrepancies
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders; Banking institution contacts, internal Accounting teams, AR & AP
  • Create and update S.O.P’s (Standard Operating Procedures), Process Flows, Policy documents
  • Cashflow analysis
  • Manage key reporting tasks and deadlines in-line with Finance Calendar
  • Supporting continuous improvement projects and initiatives
  • Ongoing business partnering with application management and external consultants
  • Lead audit and controls management relating to Bank Reconciliation

Qualifications

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s/College Degree in Accountancy or any Business related course
  • Certified Public Accountant is an advantage but not required
  • At least 3 years minimum experience in Bank Reconciliation leadership
  • Candidates with a background in Property Funds Management is an advantage
  • Experience in Australian Trust Accounting is an advantage
  • Experience in a multinational company is an advantage
  • System experience (OneSource Accounts Production for financial statements, MRI property management system)
  • Experience in Australian trust accounting experience is preferred but not required
  • Must have strong English communication skills
  • Proactive with good interpersonal skills and a team player
  • Must be willing to work in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City, in an early morning shift
