Category System Support Officer - AV

  • To support internal processes associated with Alloys and supplier requirements for assigned products within the Audio Visual (AV) category. This includes pricing, stock management, reporting, analysis, digital content management, and internal process improvement and development.

Responsibilities

Support Internal AV Information Flow

  • Support to ensure Sales team is aware of bids, promotions and deals
  • Assist and/or manage portfolio pricing strategy internally and on the web
  • Assist in creating and communicating competitive market activities to support Sales team to achieve targets
  • Support in developing supplier and customer pricelists, including reviewing market data and completing pricing and competitive analysis
  • Manage and ensure contract pricing and dealer IDs are set up, updated and maintained
  • Create new product data and maintain in Alloys systems and website
  • Manage and ensure all supplier and customer reporting, periodic tracker and reporting, and ad hoc reporting (as required) are accurate and on time
  • Support Internal Processes

    • Work with the Sales team in terms of developing good internal processes that support Alloys core values
    • Assist the Category Sales Specialist – AV in developing efficient sales internal processes
    • Communicate and assist with quoting bids and special pricing
    • Review customer backorder, including request order to ship from other warehouse or stock transfer
    • Respond to internal and external email requests and online enquiries regarding bids, pricing related or discrepancies, lead times, ETA, SOH, product information, promotions, project stock and warehouse stock management

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree of Business, IT or Accounting
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for insight, reporting and continuous improvement
  • Take initiative and be proactive to effectively support and make it easier for the AV Product team
  • Experience in delivering client-focused solutions based on customer needs
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong experience working with MS Office (Advanced MS Excel experience is a must)
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while paying strict attention to detail and deadlines
  • Can work independently and in a team environment
  • An understanding and knowledge of AV products and channel industry preferred
