Supporting the team, working autonomously with minimal supervision, responsibilities include proactively managing audit services and administrative workflow requirement of the team on a daily basis
Responsibilities
Admin:
Preparing audit engagement letters
Coordinating the bank confirmations process
Roll forward of Caseware audit files and back ups
Importing trial balance and engagement file preparation
Preparing draft Audit tenders to Director review level
Preparing meeting minutes and agendas and coordinating follow-up
Audit:
Assist with in-house and pro-bono audit engagements
Assist with audit of a major client with 70 sub-entities from late July to Oct - file
preparation, import of data and perform audit work
Debtor balance confirmation
Preparing audit memorandums
Preparing final outcomes reports (populating issues and information)
Data Analytics assistance
Preparation of financial statements
Review files
Qualifications
Must possess at least a Bachelor's / College Degree in Finance / Accountancy / Banking or equivalent
At least 3 years of relevant experience in Related to the role
Meticulous and has strong attention to detail
Ability to work to deadlines under pressure
Ability to work flexibly and demonstrate a willingness to respond to changing work requirements and peak periods
Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload in order to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with the ability to clearly communicate issues to all levels of management
High level of interpersonal skills with demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy; team player and can collaborate with other teams in the organization
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; hands-on and detail-oriented
Must be a perfectionist by nature, with no tolerance for financial sloppiness; highly skilled in dealing with financial and numeric data
Must have excellent work habits, including a willingness to work the hours necessary to get the job done, especially when important deadlines cause greater than normal departmental pressures
