Job Description: Corporate Tax Accountant
Position OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled Corporate Tax Accountant with expertise in UAE corporate tax regulations to join our team. The successful candidate will handle corporate tax compliance, planning, and reporting while staying up-to-date with UAE tax laws. This role also involves ensuring accurate processing of financial records, managing client relationships, and supporting business decisions with tax-efficient strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and file corporate tax returns in compliance with UAE tax regulations, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
- Maintain detailed working papers and supporting documentation for corporate tax filings.
- Conduct reviews of financial statements to ensure compliance with applicable tax laws.
- Process and analyze trust/company accounts using software such as Xero, ensuring accurate data management and reporting.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing their corporate tax needs and providing tailored advice.
- Monitor changes in UAE corporate tax laws and their implications for clients and the organization, providing regular updates.
- Perform tax research and provide recommendations on corporate tax planning strategies to minimize liabilities.
- Assist in managing tax audits, including preparing documentation and liaising with tax authorities on behalf of clients.
- Handle accounts payable and receivable processes in alignment with tax compliance requirements.
- Support cross-functional teams with tax-related matters, including mergers, acquisitions, or restructurings.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Proven experience as a Corporate Tax Accountant with a strong understanding of UAE corporate tax regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software, particularly Xero / ERP /Oracle / SAP Business One / Tally and other financial tools. SME's
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable and receivable processes.
- Exceptional client management and communication skills.
- Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving and organizational abilities.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as CPA, CA, (required to have)
- Handles international clients
- Previous experience in handling financial reporting in accordance with IFRS.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in corporate tax planning and providing strategic tax advice.
- Familiarity with conducting tax audits and preparing supporting documentation.
- Exposure to managing trust and company accounts in a corporate environment.
