An Estimator is responsible ensuring that each project is completed within the specified timeframes and budgetary amounts as well as of the highest quality and excellence. The Estimator will handle multiple projects within a fast paced environment which includes but is not limited to gathering construction related documents, and preparing detailed and accurate material, labor, equipment, subcontracts, and construction facilities estimates. The role also builds good working relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.
Responsibilities
Creates costings for new designs and establishing base costs
Performs production estimation on recent displays and develops corresponding price lists and upgrade options
Acquires prices for new items and finalizes prices on selection documents
Conducts consolidation checks on all files including checks on accuracy of Drafting, Selections and Contract Administration
Completes an accurate Bill of Quantities for all jobs in production
Places orders according to the Bill of Quantities once all checking has been done
Completes budget analysis for all jobs in production with a focus on positive profit margins
Provides input and checks over budgets on a weekly basis
Assists in cost-saving techniques and procurement
Updates the Master Bill of Quantities
Attend meetings with clients and assist with establishing budgets, construction methods and extent of works
Develop an in-depth understanding of each project and source subcontractors and suppliers capable of complying with tendering relevant information
Ensure accuracy and consistency of estimates
Continually seek and identify new and alternative business opportunities or initiatives which may impact on the overall competitiveness, profitability and growth of the company
Qualifications
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Drafting Technology, or equivalent
At least 2-3 years’ experience as an Estimator or in a similar capacity
Experience in handling US Clients is an advantage but not a strict requirement
Must be skilled in using Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office
Excellent organizational, decision making, time management and administration skills
High level of communication and strong interpersonal skills with clients, sub-contractors and team members
Proactive and flexible approach to work
Ability to work autonomously, employ initiative to find solutions, prioritise and exercise discretion
Ability to liaise at an executive level, work under pressure and multi-task
Ability to work in a team environment and seek mentoring from other team members
Ability to take ownership and responsibility for own priorities and contribute to team objectives
Excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as good presentation skills
With strong attention to detail

Ability to work quickly and meet deadlines
Must be willing to work in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City,mid shift/graveyard shift
