Fixed Asset Accountant - Night Shift Schedule (Hybrid Set Up)

Reporting to the Property Management Controller, the Fixed Asset Accountant will serve as an integral member of the Finance Team. This position will be responsible for Fixed Asset tracking and reporting for our clients. The Fixed Asset Accountant will have primary day-to-day responsibility for ensuring timely and accurate recording and reviewing of all Fixed Asset transactions. The Fixed Asset Accountant will exhibit the highest levels of professionalism and integrity while promoting best practices as it relates to accounting and financial stewardship.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares monthly Fixed Asset Management schedules
  • Tracks operational activity related to purchases/disposals and records corresponding entries
  • General Ledger maintenance of Fixed Assets in Oracle NetSuite through Depreciation and Amortization Schedules as well as GL level reconciliations
  • Prepare, review, and ensure the monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting deliverables and comply with company and client requirements including but not limited to: Fixed Asset tracking, amortizations, reconciliations with client schedules, and Real Estate Tax accruals & adjustments
  • Supports the Senior Accountant in the period close activities to ensure timely reporting
  • Spearhead communication with operations and client services to facilitate tracking of Fixed Asset activity as it occurs
  • Monitors Real Estate tax payment needs and keeps Senior Accountant informed of upcoming deadlines
  • Act as team’s back-up as needed
  • Other ad-hoc projects that maybe assigned

Qualifications

  • Degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA is highly desirable
  • 3+ years of professional accounting experience with at least 2 years with Fixed Asset accounting
  • Property management & acquisition accounting experience is a benefit
  • Knowledge of month/year end close procedures
  • US GAAP working knowledge is required
  • Enterprise ERP experience required, NetSuite preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong Excel skills preferred
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and delivering results
  • Eager to learn and contribute to the team
  • Exceptional and impeccable written, oral, analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Amenable to work on a Hybrid Set Up - Night Shift Schedule (1 Nito Tower Cebu)
