The Fund / Financial Accountant position is based in Manila, Philippines. The Financial Accountant will provide support with fund accounting (unit pricing), AP & AR function, investor relations, reconciliations, month end, cash monitoring, general ledger tasks and general ad hoc tasks to support the team. The role is a hands on role initial, with business growth this role will grow the offshore team. The applicant will have the ability to apply accounting principles to support the business. A critical success factor of this role is the ability to demonstrate high attention to detail, problem solving and managing competing deadlines. The applicant will be a natural collaborator with a grounded/ down to earth work style to assist with business outcomes in a friendly team environment. A person who takes ownership and enjoys working with business stakeholders to support organisational performance. Responsibilities
Operations
Preparation of daily unit prices and update of general ledger / unit pricing system and supporting work papers.
Monthly management accounts preparation including commentary.
Monthly regulatory and tax reporting (BAS etc).
Quarterly compliance lodgements.
Assist with drafting statutory accounts including reconciliations and collating documents.
Ability to assist other teams in the organisation (E.g fund management, operations, wider business) when required.
Processing payments to external parties, journals, and general ledger tasks.
Responsible of the AP/AR functions.
Responsible for entering transactions in Xero Software.
Assisting the team with ad-hoc tasks.
Supporting the Middle office team with Investors and finance activities.
Providing information for business performance and position.
Preparing information for externals parties’ requirements.
Assist with compliance, registering, opening SPVs, bank accounts and bring down paper.
Other
Ad-hoc duties as required by the Finance Manager and stakeholders.
Complying with all work practises and will be focused on safety of self and others in the workplace.
Represent the business to the highest professional standards.
Qualifications
Candidate must possess at least aBachelor’s/College Degree in Accountancy or any Business related course, Certified Public Accountant is good to have for this role
Unit pricing experience preferable.
With experience in Funds Management or Financial services industries is an advantage
Preferably with working knowledge in PFS Paxus Fund Accounting/Sage software
Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel (Advance) and must have strong English communication skills
Proactive with good interpersonal skills and a team player. Can able to work with conflicting deadlines and priorities.
Must be willing to work in a hybrid work setting in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City.
