HR Manager

The position is responsible for the overall management of the Human Resources function of the entire Manila team. The HR Manager is responsible for ensuring that all HR compliance policies and procedures have been documented, implemented, and communicated properly. The role is also responsible for leading activities associated with ensuring HR is filing appropriate compliance reports with regulatory agencies. Furthermore, the role will oversee the day-to-day operations of the office and act as a key point of contact for all Company clients with regard to their staff and operations of their team.

Responsibilities

  • Develops, recommends and implements HR policies and procedures.
  • Keeps employees informed of all changes in HR policies and counsels with employees on these policies.
  • Plans, organizes, and oversees all HR activities for the Company
  • Works with managers to develop education/training programs for the employees
  • Maintains good public and employee relations status
  • Implements, promotes and maintains a productive and safe work environment
  • Promotes the company’s mission and vision by actively supporting the Company’s ethics and values as well as quality policies
  • Motivates and coaches employees to maintain high levels of satisfaction, productivity, and quality through effectively utilizing available rewards and recognition channels to encourage and promote desired behavior and results
  • Maintains 201 Files of all Company employees
  • Establishes, reviews and updates salary structures
  • Creates a and improves Performance Management Processes for employees
  • Handles all employee disciplinary cases and grievances
  • Conducts employee engagement activities and annual engagement surveys

Processes and Policies

  • Creates, implements and monitors HR and Operations process and policies
  • Ensures that processes across all departments are aligned

Inductions

  • Ensures all new staff are welcomed and that their systems are all set-up for their arrival
  • Ensures all documentation is provided, signed, returned, scanned and filed as appropriate
  • Organizes staff introductions, welcome emails, office tours, etc.
  • Builds a strong business relationship with the internal client
  • Facilitates the management team to bring best solutions for employees

Administration

  • Maintains and ensured quality control over databases. Initiates collation of both Client and Employee Data into one master database
  • Generates a variety of reports and summaries regarding, but not limited to, headcount, employee and client profile, and performance metrics
  • Maintains employee 201 files
  • Ensures that all employee movement is documented and actioned in corresponding departments
  • Ensuring separated employees are handled appropriately with regard to risk, system access, final pay, return of property, etc.
  • Conducts Exit Interviews

Compensation and Benefits

  • Establishes, reviews and updates salary structures
  • Ensures that employees are enrolled/registered in various government agencies such as SSS, Philhealth, Pagibig and BIR
  • Assists employees in the availing of Government Mandated Benefits
  • Reports contributions made to various government agencies such as SSS, Philhealth and Pagibig
  • Communicates employee salary changes to Payroll
  • Makes appropriate recommendations in relation to staff promotions and salary increases

Performance Reviews and Performance Management

  • Creates a and improves Performance Management Processes for employees
  • Acts as driver for performance improvement and promotes positive changes in people management
  • Organizes and tracks performance reviews when they are due; ensures that  Managers  follow the Performance Review process (including 360 Degree Reviews, when appropriate)

Employee Discipline and Labor Relations

  • Handles all employee disciplinary cases and grievances
  • Ensures that due process is observed in all disciplinary cases especially in cases of termination
  • Coordinates with the Company Lawyer in labor disputes, and appears in court on behalf of the Company, if required
  • Consistently reviews and keeps abreast of statutory regulations compliance and, in particular, the labor laws, applicable in accordance with relevant acts, regulations and awards 

Employee Engagement

  • Conducts employee engagement activities and annual engagement surveys
  • Develops and supports retention initiatives by executing programs developed to improve morale and attrition
  • Acts as a leader in the site providing guidance and counsel to the employees

Qualifications

  • Graduate of a 4-year course  in Social Science, any Business course, or any related field
  • At least 3 years of experience in a Managerial capacity performing HR duties
  • At least 5 years of progressively responsible experience as a Human Resources Manager, Generalist, or Specialist with experience in associate relations, learning and development, problem and conflict resolution
  • Strong client relations background
  • Strong background in Philippine Labor Laws
  • Experience demonstrating extensive knowledge, interpretation, and application of employment laws
  • Background in government remittances and has strong understanding of local statutory reporting, filing, etc. (BIR, SSS, HDMF, SEC, BOI, PEZA, DOF)
  • Good management and interpersonal skills; approachable, and can deal with matters with integrity, fairness and diplomacy
  • Excellent interpersonal and people skills with the ability to liaise with staff and clients at all levels
  • Experience working in fast-moving, high-volume working environment/industry
  • Demonstrated multi-tasking capability with proven track record in meeting tight deadlines
  • Exceptional English verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Strong planning, coordination, organizational and administrative skills
  • Proficient in using MS Office applications with strong MS Excel skills and is tech savvy
  • With pleasing personality, positive working attitude, and is customer service-oriented
  • Strong commitment to client service and a flexible can-do attitude that responds to client and business needs
  • Patient and flexible in all work duties
  • Reliable, trustworthy and ethical; neat, tidy and accurate
  • Must be willing to work in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City in an early morning shift
