IFRS 15 Specialist (Permanent Work from Home Setup)

The IFRS15 Specialist reports to the Accounting and Finance Manager in BBCo and is responsible for working with the client’s Digital Data Analytics and Engineering Lead to complete the monthly IFRS15 Revenues Report to enable Reporting Compliance. The Specialist is expected to liaise with the Singapore Product Teams to ensure that the bundles are accurately reflected in the Revenues Report and to also support the half yearly audits.
Responsibilities
IFRS 15 Compliance: Apply expert knowledge of IFRS 15 to assess, interpret, and analyze contracts, revenue recognition policies, and related financial transactions. Ensure compliance with IFRS 15 guidelines, including proper revenue recognition, allocation, and disclosure requirements.
Contract Analysis: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as sales, legal, and operations, to review customer contracts and assess their impact on revenue recognition. Identify and evaluate significant revenue streams, performance obligations, variable consideration, and other contract-specific elements.
Revenue Recognition Policies: Develop and maintain revenue recognition policies and procedures in accordance with IFRS 15. Monitor changes in accounting standards and regulatory requirements related to revenue recognition and update internal policies accordingly.
Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accurate and timely recording of revenue and related transactions. Collaborate with the financial reporting team to ensure revenue-related disclosures are complete and comply with regulatory guidelines.
Internal Controls: Implement and monitor effective internal controls related to revenue recognition processes. Identify control gaps, assess risks, and provide recommendations for improvements to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
Technical Accounting Research: Stay up to date with the latest developments in IFRS 15 and related accounting standards. Conduct research on complex accounting issues, provide technical guidance to stakeholders, and propose appropriate accounting treatments.
Audits and Compliance: Collaborate with external auditors during the audit process. Provide necessary documentation, explanations, and analysis related to revenue recognition. Ensure compliance with audit requirements and resolve any identified issues or discrepancies.
Qualifications
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s/College Degree in Accountancy or any Business-related course.
At least 4 years of work experience in the related field is required.
Strong IFRS15 Technical knowledge in the Accounting Standard
Advance Excel Knowledge is a must.
Must have strong English communication skills.
