Under the broad supervision of the Director of Strategy, the Integration Specialist is responsible for logical and accessible data management through our multi-source data hub in Airtable. The Integration Specialist is an expert in integrating data to provide meaningful, timely data to key seminary stakeholders. The Integration Specialist will work closely with our Data Analyst to build and document data environments logically and accessibly. This entails design, development, release and support of university-wide data and application integrations. The role is focused on building integrations using standard techniques such as extract, transform and load (ETL), web services, API Management, data hubs, and common data models.
Responsibilities
What tasks and assignments will you perform?
Integrate SONIS (SQL in Microsoft Azure platform) and HubSpot data source into Airtable.
Support Data Analyst in report and dashboard building for key stakeholders
Maintain and document all integrations and automations
Train key stakeholders in reporting and dashboard access and navigation
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
What experience and training do you need?
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or another related
field with 3-5 years of demonstrated ability in API management and integration middleware.
Experience with Airtable preferred (not required).
Experience with SQL Server and/or Knowledge of relational databases, data
warehousing concepts, or Operational Data Stores (ODS).
Experience with integration concepts, such as EAI, SOA, ESB, Web Services, SOAP, REST, Messaging Services, API Management, or others.
Experience with general database management and database visualization
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Detail-oriented and creative issue-resolution
Must be able to quickly learn and use new software programs, and be comfortable interacting with multiple technology tools
Ability to consistently perform tasks with minimal supervision
What knowledge will be helpful?
Familiarity with data analysis and profiling.
Familiarity of Cloud Computing fundamentals; specifically, iPaaS, IaaS, SaaS and PaaS.
Experience designing, implementing, improving, and fixing integration solutions using wide variety of data sources and targets.
Familiarity of project management concepts and frameworks such as Stage
Gate, PIMBOK, Prince2, Scrum, Agile.
Processes and regulations for data governance
