Linux System Administrator

We are seeking for a talented individual to manage the environments that underpin our e-commerce platform. Though focused on Linux systems administration, this individual will be a member of our technology team with a broad exposure to a range of technologies. • Providing general administration, performance tuning and system hardening for Linux and Microsoft server environments.
• Working with Engineering teams to improve overall application performance across multiple architectures
• Building, deploying and automating server infrastructure and tuning configurations for application performance
• Improving security, scalability, availability and performance of infrastructure
• Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues that affect the production environment
• Manage issues and escalations for a wide range of technologies, systems and applications
• Oversight of the general support processes. Working with the frontline team to define and develop processes and policies for support functions.
• Contribute to the agile and test-driven engineering culture with creative problem solving and can-do attitude

• 3+ years of experience in Systems Administration
• Experience managing infrastructure within a hybrid environment with high availability requirements
• Experience working in virtualised environments, such as VMWare
• Experience in Linux/Unix/BSD background (preferably Centos/RHEL)
• Experience using continuous integration tools (Gitlab, Git workflows, Jenkins)
• Experience and knowledgeable in Nginx, HAProxy, Varnish
• Exposure to Configuration Management tools like Puppet
• Knoweledgeable in support software and system solutions, utilising a number of technologies (Python, PHP, Java, C++, Ruby, SQL, Memcached, Redis, SOLR, Elasticsearch (ELK), Graphite, StatsD).
• Experience in Active Directory, Group Policy Windows systems administration are a plus
• Ability to multitask and analyse failures and identify root causes in conjunction with engineers
