The Payroll Officer is responsible for delivering process within the Vet Partners payroll function and ensuring the accurate and timely payment of wages for all employees across various entities. The position will also be responsible for auctioning procedures that support accurate pay information being provided to payroll in a timely manner, including the configuration and administration of the time and attendance systems.
Responsibilities
End to end payroll management
Support the timely, accurate and lawful process for all payment of wages for Australia and New Zealand, and other countries as required in future.
Process and administer the payroll and time and attendance software
Support the accurate integration of data between the HRIS and payroll systems.
Assist with the payroll budget including checking and allocating invoices on a regular basis.
Assist with the accrual and payment of leave types, superannuation, KiwiSaver, parental leave payments, garnishee orders, child support payments etc.
Process the month-end and year-end payroll processes.
Process, manage and report on PAYG/PAYE tax withholding.
Calculate and process payroll tax in partnership with finance team.
Support the WHS team with annual work cover premium calculations and ensure workers compensation claims are paid and reimbursed accurately.
Ensure payroll system is accurately integrating with GL to produce accurate statements and reports for the business.
Respond to queries from line managers and employees in a professional, prompt and empathetic manner. Ensure all VetPartners employees feel supported and facilitate trust in the payroll department.
Process and ensure accuracy of all adjustments, and support the annual Award and performance increase processes.
Work toward a goal of zero mid-cycle pay adjustments.
Support the business with reporting requirements and data analysis as required.
Process improvement/auditing
Perform regular reconciliations, audits and checks to ensure the system is correctly configured.
Ensure all systems are integrating correctly and the payroll process is as efficient and accurate as possible.
Qualifications
Minimum two years’ experience in similar mid-large multi-site, end to end payroll
Background with Australian Client/Account Experience
Able to demonstrate experience thriving in a fast-paced, competing for priority environment.
Should have familiarity in running payroll for a large organization.
Should be comfortable manipulating large amount of data.
Works independently and in collaboration with others. Strong analytical skills
Must be willing to work onsite (BGC, Taguig)
