Quantity Surveyor (Contracts Administrator) is responsible for maintaining the budgets and increase gross profit by optimizing design efficiencies, management of trades, contractors and suppliers. This role is also responsible for developing compliant and persuasive tenders. This is also responsible for research and delivery of innovative procurement strategies
Responsibilities
Project Management
Financial/Costing
Ensure Client budgets are recognized and respected
Obtain budget costs from services and suppliers
Following LOI, get signoff of conceptual design
Obtain final subcontractor pricing based on Design Documentation
Client Management
Interpret bid package and devise appropriate strategy to meet expectations
Prepare final scope/estimate of works that will form Order Schedule
Obtain signed contract from client on OS/FS/Drawings
Design
Oversee full design documentation
Oversee Drawings and Finishes Schedule and details
Ensure accuracy of design documentation including Scope of Works and Finishes
Liaise with Technical and Creative Design teams to ensure Design buildability
Internal check and final Signoff of design documentation prior to client submission/presentations
Project Planning
Ensure complete scope coverage for all main trades and suppliers prior to contract
Negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure budget and target GP is met prior to commencement.
Draw up subcontractor and supplier contracts/order based on final negotiated pricing.
Minimize/eliminate variations from suppliers or services
Continuous Improvement
Develop and promote continuous improvement of systems and methods to improve efficiency/accuracy/profitability for the Technical and Construction Teams
Qualifications
At least 5-10 years’ experience in Construction Industry
Experience as an Estimator, Quantity Surveyor, Procurement Officer or related
Graduate of Civil Engineering or other Construction-related courses
Solid understanding of structural fit-ous
Strong documentation skills
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Strong interpersonal and networking skills
Goal-oriented
Willing to work on early morning shift (6AM – 3PM)
