Salesforce Developer (WFH)

As a Salesforce Developer, you will play a major role in meeting our business goals and helping us transform using technology platforms. Salesforce transformation projects include continuous improvement, process gap identification, solution modeling, Salesforce feature selection, business process analysis, project management, testing, implementation and maintenance in conjunction with internal and external stakeholders to support key business initiatives to improve overall customer experience.

Responsibilities

The main responsibilities of this role include:


Technical subject matter

  • Develop Apex (classes and triggers), Lightning Components, and Visualforce to extend Salesforce to support business requirements.
  • Designing and implementing technical services for data integration (SOAP / REST, APIs)
  • Lead the code and technical design reviews of solution implementations to ensure code quality and best practices are maintained.
  • Provide technical support for internal users
  • Proactive system maintenance including Security Reviews, Release Updates, Health Check, and Optimiser.
  • Working knowledge of middleware softwares.
  • Strong background of service cloud features including (but not limited to) Omni Channel, Live Chat, Macros.

 

Business analysis and solution development

  • Assess business needs that fall outside the standard solution and/or scope, and assess integration complexity, architecture constraints and/or product roadmaps.
  • Design the Salesforce business process flow in alignment with the changing market and evolving internal stakeholder and external
    customer needs.
  • Stay in-touch with the latest Salesforce technology marketplace and seek the best suitable offerings to fit the T&W operation ecosystem.
  • Apply domain knowledge to fully understand and identify how the Salesforce solutions can be configured and delivered to best meet business requirements / business processes.
  • Within the agreed enterprise architecture, define and design Salesforce solutions to assist the business in meeting their objectives.
  • Recognise and highlight risks and opportunities within the existing systems ecosystem for operations improvement.
  • Provide input to the strategic direction of technology deployment to assist definition of the enterprise architecture and maximise the return on technology investment.
  • Interact with key business and IT stakeholders on to-be state solution design matters for the buy-in solution and shaping with alternate
    approach.
  • Translate the to-be state solution into documentations, including system entity model, conceptual data model, product feature map and
    user stories.
  • Conduct workshops with business process key users to understand the as-is business process details and gather new business requirement details.
  • Maintain the Salesforce feature map documentation and identify the system functional fit gap matching to business requirements.
  • Maintain the key solution decision tracker and gather key business decision alignment from business process owners and IT stakeholder.
  • Create and maintain the business process blueprint documentation for the as-is (existing) and to-be (future project) Salesforce business
    process flow.
  • Translate the Salesforce feature fit-gap analysis into system change specifications of customisation and configuration changes.
  • Conduct change impact assessment in Salesforce project change elements of people, process, data and integration changes.
  • Act as the internal Salesforce subject matter expert to support user training, process improvement, process governance and create overall vision for the end-to-end Salesforce solution.
  • Bridge the communications between business requirements and technical decisions.

Project management

  • Utilise Salesforce industry best practices for change management methodologies.
  • Support the End-to-End Salesforce project, by defining key milestones that will drive visibility to steer our operations today as well as setting T&W up for the future.
  • Conduct and/or guide system integration, user acceptance testing and deployment phases of the project to ensure a seamless transition live environment.
  • Develop, test, and document working custom development, integrations, and data elements of a Salesforce.com application implementation.
  • Develop test strategy to ensure quality solutions are implemented as expected.
  • Configure, install and maintain the Salesforce solution.
  • Execute the statement of work with Salesforce partners.
  • Track, communicate and document project status and deliverables at Salesforce feature change components level.

Qualifications

  • Proven technical experience in Salesforce, Apex, Lightning Components, SOAP / REST, APIs, middleware integration
  • Experience in driving a business team through designing and/or re-designing complex scenarios
  • Tertiary Degree Qualifications in Engineering/ Software related field will be ideal, but not necessary
  • Good people and relationship management skills
  • Ability to synthesises information effectively, knowing the right data and information needed to answer a question; Comprehensively
    understands and utilises all data available
  • Independently delivers actionable recommendations and/or results when working against an initiative, laying out the most efficient
    approach with defined milestones/actionable pieces, and consistently supporting the team’s KPIs and OKRs
  • High attention to detail
  • Excellent organisational skills, including the ability to multitask and prioritise, manage time and meet deadlines
  • Experience with project management dealing with multiple stakeholders
  • Good presentation skills
  • Experience in e-commerce will be preferable, but not necessary
  • Understands the agile project management approach and is able to translate business requirements into user stories.
  • Great approach to collaborate with different business units and stakeholders
  • Good communicator (both verbal and written)
  • Problem solver in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated experience taking a structured approach to problem-solving, identifying hypotheses, assumptions, risks, and
    recommendations
  • Strong analytical skills, including but not limited to the ability to collect, organise, analyse, trend and report large amounts of information
  • Enthusiastic and quick learner.
