Reporting to the Senior Accountant, the AR/AP Specialist will serve as an important member of theFinance Team. This position will be responsible for day-to-day input of financial transactions for Picketand Picket’s clients. The AR/AP Specialist will have primary day-to-day responsibility on AccountsPayable and Revenue accounting ensuring timely and accurate financial data and processing accountspayable and AP transactions.

Responsibilities

  • Processing transactions and performing month end accounting duties such as account
    maintenance, recording entries, and reconciling book of accounts
  • Posting of Utility and HOA payments
  • Posting and reconciliation of customer payments
  • Posting and reconciliation of manual vendor payments
  • Manage and posting credit card transactions Brex and Ramp
  • Assist on preparation of monthly financial statements such as balance sheet, income statement,
    cash flow statements and supporting schedules
  • Review and approve the coding of accounts payable transactions, whether through manual or
    automated payments
  • Record accounts payable not processed via automated payments
  • Posting of property acquisition and management transactions daily along with month end revenue reconciliations
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close
  • Other ad- hoc projects that maybe assigned
  • Handling vendor queries on payments status

Qualifications

  • Candidate must possess at least aBachelor’s/College Degree in Accountancy or any Business
    related course, Certified Public Accountant is preferred but not required
  • Two years of professional experience
  • Property management & acquisition accounting experience is an asset
  • US GAAP knowledge is an asset
  • NetSuite experienced is an asset
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and delivering results
  • Exceptional and impeccable written, oral, analytical, and interpersonal skills 
  • Amenable to work in 1 Nito Tower in Nightshift – Monday to Fridays
