Under the supervision of the Assistant Director of Student Accounts and working closely with the members of the Student Accounts Team this position supports the Gordon Conwell mission by processing student account adjustments and working with students. This position will provide excellent customer service to students by maintaining accurate record keeping and being the lead in data entry and invoicing third parties.
Responsibilities
Importing and Posting Charges and Payments into SONIS: Daily imports and manual adjustments to student’s accounts. This includes charges and daily payments. Help with data entry to ensure accurate bills for students at all times. Review of student bills each semester, and regular reconciling and categorizing of accounts – especially during graduation seasons.
Review of Past Due Accounts: Run reports to review past due balances at all campuses. Help facilitate the 30, 60, and 90 day emails and text messages to the past due accounts. Keep accurate records of these accounts to assist with collections.
Invoice Third Parties: Assist in Providing Third Parties with accurate invoices to process payment to the seminary.
Other Duties: Manage one of our Student Accounts email inbox. Respond to students and staff in an efficient and caring manner. Provide occasional backup for Student Accounts and Financial Aid team members. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
At least 3 years of relevant work experience in an administrative role
High attention to detail and data entry accuracy
Excellent English communication skills in both verbal and written form
Must have good Customer Service
Must be highly organized and proactive
Able to confidently speak up or ask questions
Must be detail-oriented, has good judgment and should be able to think strategically
Strong commitment to service and a flexible can-do attitude to respond to client and business needs
