Support the Supplier Operations Team Leader to monitor near real-time data to identify problems and partner with suppliers to get back on track. Suppliers are the engine that powers our teams obsession with driving perfect orders leading to an exceptional customer experience. The workload follows trends in supplier performance and changes in company's overall operations and expectations of our suppliers. Adjusting quickly to solve problems is a daily practice in our work. In addition to monitoring our supplier performance you will liaise with other internal teams including supplier partnerships, category management, logistics and customer care, to identify trends and root cause problems while developing solutions to support daily operations. .
Responsibilities
Engage directly with suppliers to improve their fulfilment processes, minimize delays, and promote an excellent experience for all of our stakeholders
Act as the go-to person for our suppliers as they resolve day to day issues, and provide support by training them and educating them on the use of company's tools
Drive supplier adoption of key tools and technology with an aim at improving processes
Review, investigate and respond to supplier operations related emails from internal and external stakeholders in <24 hours
Monitor, identify and analyze trends across supplier warehouses to improve on-time shipments and improve overall supplier performance
Recognize, document and alert supplier operations team of ongoing issues or trends that require escalation
Ensure Weather report is being actioned daily and Suppliers are being cleared and educated correctly on the process (not just cleared)
Report repeat offenders and non compliant Suppliers for remediation both on weather and performance management
Ensure the individuals ‘ways of working’ are aligned to the business and department through means of reporting, documenting and actioning set tasks in a timely manner.
Think critically about our internal processes, proposing and implementing solutions to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and the overall supplier experience
Work with company's supplier partners and across internal teams (Supplier Partnerships, Category Management, Logistics and Customer Care) with urgency to resolve problems with supplier integrations, inventory, and/or shipments
Working in a fast paced environment to troubleshoot and continually improve supplier fulfilment performance, specifically with shipments, delayed orders, and inventory
Using strong relationship building, communication, and negotiation skills to educate and guide our suppliers through issues within the order life cycle via phone and email, and to propose improvements to existing operational expectations
Maintaining accurate and effective communication between all departments, suppliers, and carriers in order to effectively resolve all issues regarding inventory, overdue orders, amendments, carrier assignments, etc
Using root cause identification and analysis to highlight potential supplier improvements across inventory, shipping, and general performance
Training and educating a large base of suppliers on how to effectively and efficiently use our internal dispatch portal to optimise the customer experience
Identifying problems within current processes and not only providing your own suggestions, but also taking ownership of start to end implementation
Using SQL to mine data and implement action plans using both the data and your practical knowledge
Monitoring and analysing competitor and industry behaviours
Providing any additional support for the Operations team or otherwise as directed by management
Recommend and implement new initiatives and processes that help improve the overall service level and efficiency of the team
Completing key objectives to improve supplier lead times, and order fulfilment rates, improving communications and education with suppliers and warehouses, and all other operational admin duties needed to facilitate a world class service.

Qualifications
Previous experience in customer and/or supplier relationship management is essential
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Talent for building strong, professional relationships
Ability to handle challenging conversations via telephone or email in a professional manner
Aptitude for analysing data and identifying on-going trends
Ability to use data software and systems to conduct these analyses, and manage findings
Great approach to collaborate with different business units and stakeholders
High attention to detail
Strong knowledge of excel (intermediate to advanced) and ability to learn new systems quickly
Experience using SQL is preferred but not essential
Numerical and literacy skills to compile reports and necessary documentation as required.
Familiarity with ERP’s and WMS’s (sales, stock and purchase order management systems) is a plus
Desire to learn, both through training and independently
Experience in e-commerce will be preferable, but not necessary
Must demonstrate reliable, consistent and self reliant work habits
Accustomed to working in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated experience taking a structured approach to problem-solving, identifying hypotheses, assumptions, risks, and recommendations
