Technical Support Engineer

This position supports a large number of users with pc and server maintenance and troubleshooting. This is a perfect position for a person who enjoys facing the user and has the ability to explain technical problems and resolutions in plain language. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing IT support services through our client base.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support and assist in 1st and 2nd level support
  • Supporting desktop/server/networking hardware & software
  • Carry out installation for new PC’s/Server/Network devices and peripherals
  • Solid overall Microsoft skills, Desktop, Office, Office 365
  • Proactive maintenance for servers and workstations using the latest technologies
  • General office duties
    • Carry out user network administration tasks such as:
      • Create user accounts/mailboxes/folder directories etc.
      • Maintain user accounts/mailboxes/folder directories etc. in the event that user status changes
      • Retain responsibility for the allocated task through to closure, even if additional support is used
      • Engage assistance from external suppliers in a timely manner when serious problems occur that are due to services hosted by third parties, e.g. Internet, WAN, Telephony systems and printer

Qualifications

  • Candidate must possess a Bachelor’s / College Degree
  • At least 2 to 3 years of related work experience in working experience and training in troubleshooting and providing help desk support not limited to networking devices
    • Routers - basic routing and VLAN knowledge
    • Firewalls
    • Switches
    • Wireless Access Points
    • Cisco Wireless LAN Controller (Highly desirable)
  • Microsoft certifications would be an advantage
  • Must have knowledge in troubleshooting with iOS and Android devices
  • Strong communicator with excellent communication skills (both oral and written)
  • Able to work independently, highly driven and a team-player
  • With pleasing personality, positive work attitude, and customer service oriented
  • Highly organized and with strong attention to details
  • Willing to work in Bonifacio Global City (BGC) in a shifting schedule
